Bakken
Bakken is an amusement park, beautifully situated in the woods north of Copenhagen. It has a history of more than 400 years. In short, I guess you could call it the proletarian cousin of the more famous Tivoli. One of the main attractions are Bakkens Hvile, a music hall that dates back to 1877.
Paris
Mon ikke enhver der kommer til Paris allerede har hovedet fyldt med billeder af byen? Det må i hvert fald gælde, hvis bare man er den mindste smule interesseret i fotografi. Når man så kommer hjem og gennemser sine fotos, så spø’r man sig selv: er det her egentlig billeder af Paris? Eller er det billeder af mine billeder af Paris? Men sådan er turismens vilkår: man kommer på en og samme tide for at opleve nyt og blive bekræftet i det man tror man ved. Og Paris er jo dejlig – n’est-ce pas? -------------- I guess everyone who comes to Paris already have their head filled with images of the city. At least anyone with an interest in photography, that is. And when you get home and browse your photos, you come to think: are these really images of Paris? Or are they images of my own images of Paris? Anyway, that’s the conditions of tourism: you travel both in order to experience something new and to be confirmed in what you already think you know. And of course Paris is lovely – n’est-ce pas?

Asyl til Irakerne
Asylum for refugees from Iraq On the 13th of august, at 2 in the morning, danish police raided a church in Copenhagen, arresting Iraqi refugees. The refugees, some of whom have been living in camps in Denmark for 5-10 years, are to be expelled to Iraq, against the advice of UNHCR and several other human rights organizations. In the afternoon of the same day, some 20.000 people marched peacefully through the streets of Copenhagen in protest.
Tampere
In august 2010 I had the opportunity to visit Tampere, Finland, as a participant in the conference ”Reusing the industrial past”. What I discovered was a very nice city, with an impressive industrial heritage, a number of interesting museums and beautiful surroundings. I august 2010 var jeg i Tampere, Finland, som deltager i konferencen ”Reusing the industrial past”. Tampere er bestemt et besøg værd, med sin imponerende, industrielle kulturarv, en række fine museer og meget smukke omgivelser.

Teignmouth
Teignmouth is a small town, beautifully situated at the south coast of England. I went there with my family for a few holidays in the Easter of 2011. The weather was fabulous, the place was very British – but charming and relaxed. Highly recommended. Riviera Apartments is the place to stay.
